Of Harrison's three number one singles in the U.S., it was the only song not written by Harrison and the only one without religious overtones.
Harrison's "Got My Mind Set on You" was written by Rudy Clark and recorded and released by singer James Ray as "I've Got My Mind Set on You" in 1962.
